About Melissa
Hi! I am Melissa, wife to Ernie, mama to Gus, Lucy and Finley and a colon cancer survivor!
My favorite part about being a photographer is getting to visit with so many wonderful families. It is such an honor to be chosen to capture a family as they grow, to freeze those moments in time, to create beautiful family art! I cherish every conversation I get to have!
Posing newborns, seeing a 7 month olds eyes light up when mom smiles at them, listening to a toddlers stories, building sets for minis sessions...these are all my favorite things (well also Candy and Peach Tea). I'm so lucky to get to call this work!

Session Info
The Heirloom Session – This full portrait session gives the subject time to relax and be themselves and have fun with the camera. Once booked we will discuss the look and feel of your session to create the perfect photos for your family. With The Heirloom session I would suggest up to three looks depending on who is in the session. I will travel to locations in the Kansas City area for this type of session. This session does include the finished, edited images that you can choose to print as you wish, typically around 40-50 images. Heirloom sessions can included the whole family, just the children, or even individuals. (Family, Newborn, Children) $1500
The Traditions Session – This every year session is a quick and easy way to get updated portraits and still keep the family happy! The session lasts about 30 minutes or less, we move quickly but have fun. It can include the whole family or just the kids. This session includes the finished, edited images that you can choose to print as you wish, typically around 15-18 images. (Family, Children, Maternity, Headshots) $500
$1500Full Family, Child or Newborn Session. Newborn sessions take place in my studio. Family & Children can be on location in the Kansas City Area. Digital images are included.Heirloom
