Take Better Pictures Outdoors
Tips and Tricks
Last week we talked about taking better pictures indoors. This week lets learn how to Take Better Pictures Outdoors with some easy tips and tricks!
It seems to be a bit easier to Take Better Pictures outdoors, however there are few things that can make your images even better! Photography is all about the light and using what you have.
Start by finding a spot that has open shade. By open shade I mean a building that creates a shaded spot but opposite of the shade it is open sky. Or a line of trees in an open field with sun on one side or the other. If it is mid day you can typically find this type of area on the north side of a building or tree line etc.
Next place your subject in the shade but facing toward the light. You will be able to see the light reflect in their eyes.
Finally if it is especially bright and you and your camera are not in the shade it may cause a light ring or glare/haze. Simple use your lens hood if you have one…or place your hand over the lens a bit to shade it.
